Converts PDF to image in Word, not text.

I’ve converted some PDF files and had success with it converting English and German language documents. Most of my PDFs sent from my clients, i dont have their original office copy. Now I can easily count words and get the translation done in Word doc, formatting is good, contents are editable. I would certainly hope I could convert scanned PDF to editable content instead of image, though you guys say this app doesn’t support OCR. Maybe in the upgraded version? Fine software, support team responds quickly to my query.

Save your money and wait until this app gets better. I bought it at a $2 sale price and think even that is too much. Definitely not worth $40. I hoped to be able to take pdfs produced by LaTeX and convert them into Word. This app, unfortunately, tends to turn spaces between words into tabs and it converts double-spaced text into independent lines of text separated by two return carriages (i.e. a ten-line paragraph becomes ten separate paragraphs with a line between each). Fixing all of this will require significant editing by hand.

I have read reviews that are absolutely wrong. I have tried several different formats and it produces editable text. Very few errors do exist but were very easy to fix. Highly recommended even at full price.

I saw the comments and was reluctant whether or not to buy this application but since it was for two dollars, I bought it. And I am happy I did. It works great and converts PDF to Word documents while keeping the same format. I never tried scanned PDF files so I do not know if it can convert it to Word document. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks he/she might need to convert a PDF file to Word document because when you need it, you can appreciate it.

Great app, I have a 1300 pages locked PDF file that I cannot select and copy the text so I tried this app. Great layout in word! Simple and fast.

I was hesitant, I already own very good apps with OCR, but for $2! couldnt resist. Glad I did. My son has a school work, and the template download was PDF, this converted it in Word perfectly. The info for the project, the same: download pdf and work on it in Word. thank u!

I purchased this app for $2 on Twodollartuesday and got a bargain. No this app does not do OCR so forget trying to convert scanned documents. If they ever add OCR the price will probably go way up. It does a good job and is fast converting to Word format on PDFs you created by printing to pdf. It also works good with many pdfs that you download. It makes them editable and word searchable after the conversion to Word format. I get a Eedition of my daily Newspaper in PDF format. I was a able to convert a 158 page Newspaper pdf very quickly with this app. Its not perfect with the newspaper formatting but words are made editable and searchable. You can do a search and replace in Word even. I did contact support about adding OCR to this app. Got a quick reply that its something that are looking into. I think that would be a major upgrade so it might not be a free one.

I have converted one PDF file, but after conversion, the word document was not editable. which was not like what the product description gurarantees.

Converted all my pdf files to only images in word document. There is no text in them. Cant modify the word file as it contains only the image. Horrible experience.

If youre looking for a program that will "convert" your PDF into a picture that can be opened in Word, this is your app. If youre looking for a program that will actually enable you to EDIT TEXT, save your money. Total waste of time and cash.

This app is way better than many more expensive alternatives, the graphics and formatting has been well maintained. Past experience has taught me to get a trail before you purchase, you can find at least 20+ PDF converters in the MAS and most of them result in annoying text boxes and messy formatting, too many junks in the MAS right now.

As a teacher and part-time writer, this app saves me SO much time! When I first downloaded this app I was so impressed, the original formatting are retained so well after conversion. This app becomes the most essential app Ive ever had. And thanks for the professional and quick support.

This is exactly what Ive been looking for, converts my pdf to word without annoying text boxes. Very simple and clean, but really powerful.

Very good, practical app. Does just what it claims. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the lack of ability to convert scanned PDF.

This app works well so far for most of documents, but need more work for some of the PDFs with very complicated layouts.

I own ABBYY Findreader with OCR functions, and I glad I got this app today. I wont expect good OCR functions for an app less than $100, Im still impressed by this little app, it converts my PDF files into Word doc keeping the original layouts and formatting very well, even the complicated file with multiple columns. And this app runs extremely fast. Awesome, now I can use this app to convert non scanned PDF, and ABBYY for scanned PDF.

Great app, simple and fast. I used to upload PDF to online converter, it takes minutes or maybe hours to send the converted documents to my mailbox.
